On Site Crankshaft Repair in Limited Space - Columbia
RA Power Solutions successfully carried out a crankshaft repair on a vessel with a Hyundai engine. Companies from Norway, Singapore, and the UK were invited to perform the grinding of crankshaft bearings that had seized due to a lube oil pump failure. However, they were unable to complete the repair because they did not have a compact, portable tool, which was necessary to work through the limited space available via the inspection window.
